Oh my goodness! I've never seen that clip before either! Goodness Michael! Oh well, I probably would have said the same thing! :)

to bad I didn't snag some of the stories to keep - seems they took the thread down.

Good news!!

I poked around the site a bit and found out that they merged the thread we had a link to with another one (the two threads were both about MJ)... so here's the new link:

http://www.gearslutz.com/board/so-much- ... album.html

I don't know how to make this topic "sticky" again, in case you'd like it to stay at the top of the forum...??

*hug* thanks Klondiker. I'll put it back into sticky mode so people can read it and I'll switch the links so that this one is in the first part of the post so people can find it if they want to.

When they merge 2 threads like that, I'm not sure whether the posts arrange chronologically, or whether one thread is tacked onto the end of the other... and I hadn't read the 2nd thread, so I started at the top to read it all... wow, some of these stories really are worth keeping somehow... they're just as moving and gripping the second time around :)

Of course, it all made me cry.... again

I would guess that when it's merged it's not in chronological order.

I'm glad you found it. I really like that thread. I agree with you on the stories.

I just loved the Bad-era Michael too, and thought I would never like him as much in any other "era" (kinda like Elvis - I'm a "young Elvis" fan, and nothing he did later impressed me very much).

However, having followed Michael practically all my life, I knew I loved him when he was a little kid too... and "Off the Wall" years? Wow!!! He was fabulous in the 90's as well... gorgeous and sexy. Into the 2000's, he was so elegant... and through it all, he was still amazingly creative, I loved all his music........early, middle, and late....

I guess what I'm saying is this... I've come to the conclusion that one of the reasons why I've been so upset about his death is that he was a part of my life at every stage of my life (and his!!), and I loved him throughout... he was still innovating, still writing incredible music, still growing - so he was still engaging my interest.

So how will I remember him? For me, he was the quintessential artist, no matter whether he was 17 or 27 or 45... and that's how he will live in my memory.... the ageless artist.

I know Klondiker - he was 7 years older than me so he was already a star when I was really little. I remember seeing them on TV shows - then MTV and all that too. He was always around, until now..... :(

*frustrated*
Oh MAN! I tried clicking on the youtube link where Michael is annoyed about the slippery floors and got this message.....

This video has been removed due to terms of use violation

I'm sorry if this has already been addressed....but I want to see Michael annoyed!
Is there any way I can still see it somewhere? *cry*

But on another note...I enjoyed the gearslutz stories! Y'all think there is any way of us getting those guys to maybe join us here for an MJ gab-session? Just a thought.
I loved the story of how Michael decorated the studio in the summer to look like Christmas for the kids...and how he gave out presents! Way cool! The man truly had a heart of pure gold!
But I'm still bummed about the whole youtube thing.

Thanks so much for posting! My favorite thing to do is listen to all of his songs while starting off my day!

Is anyone checking in on the gearslutz link occasionally? I just did, and wanted you all to know that the conversation there is still ongoing... pretty slow, but I check it every couple of weeks and there's usually new stuff
