New Member - I need to be around fellow fans

Hi all

I find myself here as I need to be sharing my grief with fellow fans. I am really hurting at the loss of Michael, its a very deep pain. Michael Jackson was always such an inspiration to me with his music and dance. He was a kind gentle man who has constantly had to fight against haters, the media and evil lies. I have a 4 year old boy and he also adores Michael Jackson. I showed him all the videos and played the music to him and he immediatly loved him. it makes me smile watching my boy dancing and singing to the songs.

Its hard here in London as so many people are very cruel about it all. I had to delete 8 people of my facebook after nasty messages. I have to put up with some cretins at work who think its cool to insult MJ. I gave them a piece of my mind, but it hurt me that they could be so disrespectful.

Anyway I will shutup now, but I am glad there are places like this where I can come to remember the greatest entertainer that ever lived without fear of ridicule.

Mickey. Welcome to the Cafe, we're certainly glad you found this place. Please don't feel like you have to shut up. Come and share as much or as little as you like. This is a good supportive place.

I can identify with how you feel completely. The haters, they just don't get it and they will never understand because they don't want to. I've been in positions where I've put up a defense lately. Fortunately, I've not met any hard core haters lately and am glad for it. I have had to delete posts off here as well. I'll never understand what motivates a person to come to a place like this, or your face book for that matter, and write evil hate. It's not like you went looking for them, they came to you to spread their hate.

It is a safe place here. I will not tolerate haters. Usually they are deleted right away. Sometimes I get into a disagreement with them but right now the majority of members like to just have them deleted since it's to much to deal with at the moment. I will not delete a well thought out counter argument or debate however, so long as it doesn't turn in to name calling.

I think you will find the people here will treat you like a long time friend. Some of the members have been here a long time and others are new but we still feel like old friends and family when we are here. Once again, welcome. We look forward to sharing with you.

Yes, welcome MickeyMJ. This is a great place to be around fellow fans. We all love each other, and we all feel free to say what is on our minds. Haters aren't allowed on here, Curious has got an itchy delete finger.

I don't know why there are haters, especially at a time like this, you think they would have some respect or something. I don't know, I just don't get them. But this is a safe place, we really are a great big family.

Thank you so much. I am so glad to find this place. I feel like i haven't been coping well with the loss, but I have to pretend i am ok. I knew I loved MJ, but now he has died i realise how much I really did love the guy. My heart aches thinking that he isn't here.

Its so painful. xx :cry:

I really need to converse with adoring fellow fans as well! The people around me either think I need to stop obsessing about this whole situation or that I am just crazy for caring. They don't understand what Michael represented for me. I am the same way he was in many ways. My musical idol and inspiration is now gone and I am alone in my grief. I am so happy that I found this site!!!

Actually there are several reasons why people try to attack M.J. and his fans. I think for a lot of people its knowing that they'll never have the talent he had, and the fact that they can't create or inspire like him. So its a kind of extreme jealousy. Also I think they may feel like they're being gullible in believing he's innocent, like they're too smart to fall for that. And, some people are just plain dumb. So its deep rooted.

After reading all your messages, I feel lucky, because people around me are really nice, except for my brother in law (that's why I can't stand him any more). At work, everyone loves him, and they all know I'm a die hard fan, and each time they talk about him it's to praise his music and his sweetness
